The purpose of the training is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to apply circular economy principles in accordance with the relevant standards. The training prepares companies for issuing a Digital Product Passport. Participants will gain an overview of how to orient product development to meet circularity requirements. The training is particularly important in the construction products sector, as the Construction Products Regulation requires the declaration of product performance, including compliance with circularity criteria.

Target Group The training is aimed at employees working on sustainability topics within companies. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced professionals who wish to acquire or deepen their knowledge of implementing the ISO 59000 family of standards.
Learning Objective The training aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills for implementing ISO 59000 standards, based on the legislative framework and sector-specific requirements arising from the EU Circular Economy Action Plan and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. The programme prepares participants to quantify product resource circularity and to compile a Digital Product Passport.

Conditions for Starting Studies
  • At least intermediate-level English, as some materials are in English.
  • Prior experience is not required, but a background in sustainability reporting or product development is an advantage.

Completion Requirements and Documents Issued A certificate of completion is issued when the learner has demonstrated achievement of the learning outcomes by successfully completing practical tasks and answering theoretical questions. If the required learning outcomes are not achieved, a certificate of participation will be issued instead.
Trainer Qualifications and Experience All trainers hold a higher education degree, have relevant professional experience in the subjects they teach, and have experience in adult education.
